Smartech Woman is a South African company operating in the specialised niche market of medical gas equipment supply and installation. Operating independently of sub-contractors, who often prove unreliable, a team of skilled and experienced professionals of mechanical engineers, project engineers, draughtsmen, coded welders, electricians, and SAQCC technicians provides all of the required expertise in-house.

All of the company’s technicians hold recognised qualifications and are registered with the South African Qualification and Certification Committee (SAQCC) for Gas Installers and Gas Practitioners, as well as holding trade test certificates. Smartech Woman is registered on the Construction Industry Development Board, and all work undertaken by the company is fully compliant with SANS 7396 standards.

the necessary skills and expertise required for them to gain employment in the medical engineering field.

B-BBEE STATUS

Smartech Woman is the only company that qualifies as a 100% black women-owned enterprise within the medical gas equipment supply and installation industry, allowing it to be awarded a BEE Level 1 certification.

OUR MENTORING

Smartech Woman regards mentoring and education as extremely important. The company’s role, therefore, is not solely to educate consumers, but also to provide training for black women within this field. Undertaken as a part of our social responsibility programme, it represents an initiative to create jobs for this traditionally disadvantaged demographic.
